My Story
I am Vanessa Letort, very young in the wine world, I plunged into it in 2014. I decided to make it my job on a proposal from life while I was living in Tours and working as a “companion of regional projects” in the Rochepinard district. Since I made this decision, I have had a series of encounters that have been decisive and led me to create Du Vin aux Liens.
I started with tasting workshops with Patrick de la Cav’par 3 de Tours in 2014. What I was able to taste and have fun! From there, I decided to follow a one-year training course at the Lycée viticole in Amboise, more focused on marketing.
I knew Philippe Chigard, who in addition to being a provider of animal traction, winemaker of La Table Rouge with his partner Claude, was also a trainer in high school. Philippe is an enthusiast, a man who gave me the taste for entrepreneurship, and gave me to know many winegrowers and winegrowers from the Loire.
Another important meeting, Christian Binner welcomed me in woofing on his estate in Ammerschwihr in June 2015. He suggested that I create and develop alongside him, with Pierre Sanchez and Xavier Couturier from Duo Œnologie, Les Vins Pirouettes. I was part of this adventure until December 2019. I learned a lot during these three years in contact with my colleagues and the “Pirouettes winegrowers”. Training on the job, through encounters and experiences.
When the Pirouettes adventure ended for me, I decided to create Du Vin aux Liens, a natural wine trade that embraces Alsace and the Loire, with the participation of peasant winegrowers, artisans, passionate and committed.
Du Vin aux Liens is a space for partner winegrowers to come alive to vinify without a net; so that you, natural wine lovers or professionals, can enjoy a beautiful range of wines from the Loire, Alsace and elsewhere; and finally, so that I too can vinify and offer you my wines and my ciders.
Daughter and granddaughter of Breton peasants, I have been making ciders since 2019 with apples from the family orchard thanks to the impulse of Farid, my companion.
